Andrea Dovizoso wins season opener by 0.027s

The MotoGP World Championship was the last one to start at the Losail track, in Qatar, to compete in the first race of the 2018 season, with Johann Zarco the poleman of the category, but with all the favourites on his wheel to make war.

The start has been very good for Johann Zarco, who has managed to hold his position, followed by Márquez, who was 2nd, but having to keep his teammate, Dani Pedrosa, at bay, who has scored an incredible start, recovering many positions.

The laps have been happening, with Zarco in the lead, but with Márquez getting closer to the French, while Rossi was also approaching the positions of the drivers who are in the first places, meanwhile, Pedrosa has lost several positions and it is going backwards.

With 17 laps to go, we could see how Rossi managed to overtake Márquez to get in second place and try to go for the Frenchman who is in the lead. But Marc has not moved away from the lead, getting past Rossi again after five laps before 93, we have also seen Dovi take advantage to overcome the 46 at that point.

He also took advantage of the inertia and Dovi managed to overtake Márquez, without a doubt maximum expectation in the lead, since five drivers were in only 0.9s; so maximum equality between them, with Zarco very focused and holding the position. The pain of this moment has been the fall of Rins, no doubt a pity, that incident in turn 2 for the young Suzuki rider; and just a second later, we saw how Lorenzo was on the floor also this first race of the year.

With 5 laps to go, we saw Dovi overtake Zarco, and then Márquez and Rossi did the same with the Frenchman, so we already have Dovi-Marquez-Rossi in the lead. The laps have gone by, and we saw how it was all right for Andrea-Marc in the final, watching the spectacular hand in hand in the last lap, with a Dovi that managed to keep at bay to 93, and get the first victory of the season, yes, for only 0.027s away with Marc. Maximum fight awaits us between these two pilots during the whole season, and beware of Mack that if he had been closer, he would have a war on the head.

The top 10 has been completed with Rossi 3º, Crutchlow 4º, Petrucci 5º, Viñales 6º, Pedrosa 7º, Zarco 8º, Iannone 9º and 10º Miller. The rest of our 11th Rabat, 13th Baptist, 19th Aleix.
